Time for the truth

The truth will set you free.

But our interpretation of truth is often seen as the truth in the spoken form only.

We have had it drilled into us from an early age that we should always tell the truth. "Tell the truth and shame the devil", a well known saying but one that only tells half the story.

What about living the truth; and not just any truth, what about living your own truth?

The worst lie we can tell is not one told to another person but the one we tell to ourselves. This type of lie is detrimental to one's self for the very reason that we know it is a lie and nothing we can do will make it anything else.

When our body is subjected to an un-truth it will weaken our whole system, and anyone who knows about Kinesiology will know this to be so. An un-truth can be an act or the spoken word. It can be something someone tells us or something we tell ourselves, something we do or we have done to us. Saying or doing something that we know is not true to ourselves is in effect worse than having somebody else do it to us, because we are doing something that is not true to ourselves and so we are not being the person that we truly are.

We have all lied to ourselves at some point during our lives. Maybe it was while we were in a relationship, and we realised it wasn't going how we wanted it to or we didn't feel the same way as we used to feel. But so as not to hurt anyone we keep quiet, hoping that our doubt will go away.

We may have lied to ourselves by doing a job we hate for years, hating it every day. But because we have others who rely on us and what this job brings to them we can't leave. We feel we need to be able to provide for them and so we feel resentment for the loved ones who are relying on us. Then on top of our feeling of resentment we feel guilty for feeling this way.

Even by smoking or drinking when we know it can harm us is a form of lying to ourselves. So every time we do this or anything that we know is detrimental to our bodies; our lies will start to damage us on many levels, and by this I mean mind, body and spiritually.

Doing something that we know is detrimental to our inner self no matter what it is, is one of the biggest causes of self sabotage that there is. In a book called 'Power verses Force' by David Hawkins he proves that all negative emotions such as shame, anger, distrust, envy and hate or any feeling which can make us feel negative, will hurt the body in some way.

When we lie to ourselves and we know that we are lying to ourselves we will feel one or more of these negative emotions. Instead of telling others how we feel for fear of hurting them or giving them a reason to be disappointed in us we are in fact damaging our own self.

This in some way makes us feel a little bit better about what we are doing; this self punishment is like our payback for hurting the other person or our betrayal of them, if we can't be truthful to them then we can punish ourselves for acting in this way.

These negative feelings will start lowering our body's defences and allow illness in to our lives. Feelings of guilt and shame and self loathing are a sure way to put the body under incredible strain, and yet we will allow this if it means not hurting someone else.

To stop this isn't easy but I think what we need to do is to start to live our own truth. We should do the things that we want to do but communicate our new preferences to those people around us and let them know that we are still the same person but that life is all about change.

There is always room to change and it is how we bring about this change that counts. If we change in a way that includes those who love us then they won't feel left behind or insecure, and in changing we really can live our own idea of the new self.

This doesn't mean that we can disrespect or walk over people and say "It's the new me just get used to it!" Instead imagine that if what you want to do was done by others around you, would it be a good thing? You will know the answer to that question; it will show up in your feelings.

The real truth is, you are only ever truth and love to begin with.

Think about this for a second.

Every day in the morning the sun will come up in the same place and it will set at the same place each night.

The stars have their own distinct place in the night sky; they don’t move about or gather up in one corner when you look up at them.

And every day the sea comes in and then goes out again.

All these things we tend to take for granted because we know that they are meant to be. These things will just happen; we don’t question why they happen in this way, but we simply accept it as being so.

In truth everything has its place on this earth; everything knows what to do and how it should be done. It has been decided that things will happen if only for the very reason that it is the right thing to happen, has it not?

So why is it that we think that the things that happen to us are our bad luck or that someone else is responsible for hurting us or causing havoc in our lives?

I know it seems hard to accept; but everything is meant to be, and all the things that have happened to you will have gone towards making you who you are right now, and the person you have become. You don’t just wake up as who you are, but you have to evolve, just as the universe did, and this takes time. Needless to say it doesn’t take as long as for us to evolve as it took planet earth, but it will take time all the same.

The planet earth that we live on has been smashed into by asteroids and projectiles for millions of years, nearly destroying it.

But out of this carnage came something better; something stronger and more beautiful than before, and it happened because of that experience and because of what happened, and that is precisely how it should be with us.

Those people who come into our lives and who hurt us, who arrive crashing into our existence and causing destruction are no less worthy than the ones who love us and give us what we want and need. Because these people can make us stronger and change our personal landscape to something more wonderful than what was there for us before they came into our life. The struggle for us is to see this and to not resent them for their action and for what they have done to us.

The trick is to not take it on as being personal but to see it as something that has happened, and then to let it go. If you can let the feeling of being the victim go then you can heal from any attack no matter who the culprit is, and it won’t even matter how personally close they were to you. If you can move away from the attack then you will see the lesson that it is showing you.

When you can see that what has happened to you can change you into something different, someone better and even more wonderful than you were before, then you will start to see that everyone is an angel sent to you because you needed them. You will see that everything that happens to you will become a miracle.

It’s been scientifically proven that the same material that goes to make up this planet and this universe also makes us what we are today. We are all capable of crashing into things and destroying other heavenly bodies and in the past we may well have done so to some degree or other. But remember that the moon is still a beautiful thing on a clear night and we can all see the beauty in the beast if we look

The subject to my first blog post must be the most widely used opening line in all of blog land and yet it’s the only one I can think of right now :O)

This Blog is all about phobias and getting rid of them not living with them, not putting up with them, not even accepting them, just plain old getting rid of or being free from your phobia.

The technique I use to do this is really easy and gentle, and if you go on my site and have a look you will see how easy it really is to learn and use or alternatively you can try it for yourself and if you go to the EFT page you will find out how to use this very simple technique

The real point of this blog is to talk about getting rid of your phobia using this technique, and all the joy that that can bring.

I know that using this technique your phobia will only have a limited time left to rule your life so while you are here try to be happy and upbeat and optimistic and know that very soon you will be phobia free.
